  Admission Rules

1. Admission in LLB First Year of Bankey Bihari College of Law will be done according to self-financed scheme rules of MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.

2. The eligibility for admission to LLB First Year is Graduation with GEN - 45%, OBC - 42% and SC - 40% marks.

3. Admission fee will be according to self finance scheme.

4. If the fee is not deposited up to prescribed date after grant of admission, the student will be denied admission.

5. Incomplete applications will be cancelled.

6. Admission will be granted only after interview. Students will be bound to see the date of interview from the notice board of the college. It will be compulsory to show originals of all the certificates.

7. It is necessary to attach the following certificates with the application form for admission:

1. Self-attested photo copies of marks-sheets and certificates of High School and Intermediate examination.
2. Pass certificate of Graduation examination.
3. Character certificate from the principal of the last institution attended. In case of private candidate, a gazetted officer can issue the character certificate.
4. It is compulsory to deposit original transfer certificate (TC) from the last institution attended.
5. Students passing graduation examination from any other university have to attach migration certificate.
6. Self-attested photocopies of all the examinations passed will be attached.
7. Students not continuing studies after passing the last examination will have to deposit an affidavit about the reasons of breaking the studies.

8. For obtaining grace marks, students will have to attach self attested photo copy of NCC 'B' and 'C' Certificate, Membership of National and University Team, NSS, son/daughter/spouse of employees of affiliated college(s), etc.

9. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes will have to attach caste certificate issued by tehsildar/sub-divisional magistrate.

10. In case of examination results announced late by the university, admissions will be granted only within 10 days of the date mentioned on the marks-sheet. After this, admission shall be granted only with the permission of the university.

11. No admission will be granted on the basis of provisional marks-sheet.

12. Permission of admission to next semester will be granted as per rules of the university.

13. Permission for admission to other higher class will not be granted after a gap of three years.

14. Students using unfair means will get additional years for which he was denied examination.

15. A student who is a history sheeter as per police records or has been found culprit in any crime or is involved in any criminal activity will not be given admission in the college and if any such candidate has secured admission, his admission will be cancelled without any information.

17. Students who have passed any examination from Jamia-e-Urdu, Aligarh/Sahitya Sammelan Prayag Allahabad will not be eligible for admission in any course of this university.

18. Admissions will be granted as per rules of the university.

19. As per orders of the government, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes have been granted 21 per cent, 2 per cent and 27 per cent reservation. These places will be reserved till the last date.

Disabled/dependents of freedom fighters and ex-service men have been given reservation of 3 per cent, 2 per cent and 1 per cent under their respective categories.

20. If students from Scheduled Tribes are not available, seats reserved for them will be filled from amongst Scheduled Castes. If seats remain vacant in any reserved category, they shall be treated as general seats and admission granted accordingly.

21. Only 5 per cent seats are reserved on merit basis for students from outside.

22. Children of government employees or those working in public sector undertaking may be granted admission provided they are otherwise eligible. Such admissions will not be given after October 31 and seats for them will be in addition to seats fixed.

23. While preparing merit list, one mark will be deducted for every year of gap.

24. Extra weightage will be given in the merit list for the following:

a. For participation and special achievements in national or international or inter-university sports – 10 marks
b. Representation in university team – 5 marks
c. Son/daughter/spouse of serving/retired employees of university/affiliated college – 10 marks
d. 'C' or 'G-2' certificate of NCC – 10 marks
e. Two camps of NSS and 240 hours of work – 5 marks
f. Awarded at state level – 10 marks
g. Awarded by the President of India – 5 marks
h. 10 day camp of rovers and rangers – 5 marks
Special Note: No student will be given weightage of more than 10 marks. Class of a student will remain as it is, that is, it will not be affected as a result of weightage.

25. Under sports quota, if an international level sportsperson submits certificate to this effect, the vice-chancellor may give special permission. But this rule will not be applicable on the admissions done on the basis of entrance examination, meaning that wherever admissions will be granted through entrance examination, the vice-chancellor will not grant any permission.

26. Transfer from one college to another can only take place only after the mutual consent of both the colleges and sanction of the university. This facility will be granted only once.

27. Special rule: For maintaining discipline in the interest of the institution, the principal may decline admission to any student without assigning any reason. If any student has sought admission against the rules, the principal may cancel such admission as soon as it comes to the knowledge of the principal.
